Rapidly growing e-commerce sales make parcel delivery companies operating in Lithuania unite their forces. A new partnership between Venipak, provider of international parcel delivery services, and the Lithuanian Post offers even more convenient services during the pandemic – Venipak parcels will be delivered to LP EXPRESS parcel terminals, therefore, the network of parcel collection points in Lithuania will be further expanded.
The signed cooperation agreement between Venipak, provider of international parcel delivery services, and the Lithuanian Post opens up new opportunities to companies and their customers – Venipak will deliver parcels to 260 LP EXPRESS terminals, so customers will have more opportunities to collect consignments in the most convenient locations.
The recent Venipak data show that in November, the number of parcels during the peak time increased by 40% compared to the same period last year and the company forecasts that by the end of the year the number of parcels may double.
Operating since 2012, LP EXPRESS terminal network in Lithuania offers customers collection of parcels from terminals in 81 cities and towns in Lithuania. As a result of cooperation with the Lithuanian Post, Venipak will offer customers an even more convenient and wider parcel collection network with over 450 collection points in Lithuania by the end of the year.
“We regularly monitor the market and strive to grow together in order to ensure smooth parcel logistics both in Lithuania and abroad. One of our most important objectives this year has been to cut errors in the delivery of consignments by more than twice. The pandemic increased the overall need for parcel deliveries. We can see that the Lithuanian Post is also responding swiftly to the changing situation and is actively expanding its network of terminals. We therefore believe that this partnership will help us guarantee our customers one of the most convenient collection networks in Lithuania. We are both Lithuanian capital companies and believe that by joining our experience we will maintain the quality of delivery, invest in its improvement and strengthen competitiveness,” Justas Šablinskas, General Manager of Venipak, said.
According to Asta Sungailienė, General Manager of the Lithuanian Post, by consolidating their forces Lithuanian parcel delivery companies operating will make their services accessible to more people in the country, which is particularly important not only during this special period but also in the long term.
“The mission of the Lithuanian post is to ensure convenient and fast dispatch and delivery of parcels. We work together with a broad network of partners, which is open and is regularly expanded. We welcome the fact that Venipak is joining it. Under the conditions of the lockdown and the start of the Christmas parcel marathon, it is important not to limit oneself to the circumstances of this particular period in time, but also to see the long-term perspective. The parcel volume growth is on the rise, so together, we will ensure quality delivery to more recipients in the country,” Sungailienė said.
If customers order Venipak parcel delivery service to a parcel terminal, the information provided via SMS will direct the customer to an LP EXPRESS parcel terminal. “Customers appreciate our fast and high quality delivery services. In line with our high quality standards, we will continue to deliver parcels ourselves,” Šablinskas said.
Venipak delivers parcels to other pick-up points of their partners: Eurokos shops, Vaga bookshops, Aibė food stores, and other service centres. The first 11 contactless QR-code controlled Venipak parcel terminals are in operation in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys.
The company’s plans include an even faster expansion. Venipak plans to allocate up to EUR 2 million in the coming years to the increase of the network of parcel terminals. In the next four years, up to EUR 20 million will be invested in the overall improvement of infrastructure, services and international expansion.
